Day One - Home to Manitou Beach
The day arrived for us to finally leave! It was a long year of planning, but we are on the way! The Canadian Prairies are BEAUTIFUL!!
We stopped to stretch our legs in Vegreville, Lloydminster and North Battleford. The most unique things that we saw on the way were - A cropduster driving down the road, an unmanned lawnmower (like a Roomba!), a guy walking a goat on a leash, and a huge Potash mine.

The kids were great on the road, although that may be because we surprised them with a Nintendo Switch in the jeep!

Across from our hotel - there is a car show in town this weekend, hence the Mustang!
Our final destination today was Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan. It is dubbed "The Dead Sea of Canada". It is a gorgeous salt water lake. It was so weird to be able to float without treading water! T read that there is 3 times more salt in the lake than in an ocean.
It was a great first day and we are looking forward to the next 3 weeks!
