65 Days!
It's been a while since there has been update. I can't believe that we are just over two months away. The kids started a countdown chain at 100 days. We do this for most of our vacations, but normally at about 30 days remaining. Basically, it is a paper chain and everyday a link is removed. The shorter the chain, the closer the vacation! They asked for one in October but it would have taken over the entire house!!
We have all our accommodations booked. We have all our tickets purchased. We are just crossing our fingers for good weather. There have been a ton of weather related cancellations this year. We really hope for sunshine and good ball weather. If a game is cancelled while we are there, we will be unable to use the vouchers that MLB issues to go to another game. We have a tight travel schedule and need to stick to it. So, if a game is rained out, we have decided to donate our unused tickets to a children's hospital in that city and hopefully a deserving family can use them.
When looking at the trip on paper, I feel a tad bit overwhelmed by all the driving. With gas prices and the horrible Canadian dollar, it feels like we've bit off more than we can chew. But we are still so looking forward to the adventure. We can't wait to experience this with the kidlets!
